Well some of your prayers have been answered. At long last the complete first season of Total Drama Island is being released on DVD. It comes out AUGUST 18th and you can preorder it now on AMAZON.com

This is the uncut Canadian version right? Cause I still want it but, I want it to be the original not the CN version. Also, what do they mean by cast interviews? Do they mean the characters from TD1 or the voices of the characters?
The biggest question is - Will the censors be removed?, Cartoon Networks censors kinda robbed the show of some of it's humor and made the replacement dialoge...of bad quality.
So soon? And I thought Teletoon would be the ones to do it first. But it BETTER be uncut. We already know how CN completely butchered the original version because they're too easily offended with what they see. I hope we can see the version we all want to see, uncut and unedited, not censored 100% percent.
So, I literally screamed when I saw this post. Needless to say: The DVD has been ordered. Maybe in August I can delete the entire season of TDI that's saved on my TV's DVR. :)
TELL ME ITS UNCENSORED!!! I have waited TOO LONG to hear Duncan say "SUCKS" and "CRAP"!!! If it's edited, I'm gonna freaking throw my TV out the window!!! LOL

The $64,000 question: will the dialogue be the original Canadian version or the bowlderized Cartoon Network version?
It's all conjecture at this point, but circumstantial evidence gives cause for optimism:
1) In the video clip at Amazon.com, Heather uses original dialogue in a spot that CN edited. She said "skanky basement closet", which CN changed to "tacky basement closet".
2) The announcement of the upcoming release on TVshowsonDVD.com uses the Canadian episode titles ("The Not So Great Outdoors", "Haute Camp-ture"). The reference to The Reunion also indicates that the special episode is included.
Since TV broadcast standards don't apply to the DVD releases, there is really no good reason not to have the original dialogue. Of course, the lack of a good reason hasn't stopped media executives before.
I might b asking to much here but if they do release TDI unedited do ya think theyll take the bleeps out as well? I would luv to hear Lindsay telling off Heather completely uncensored.
PLEASE LET THIS BE UNEDITED!!! Please god don't let the DVD be censored T_T Does ANYONE know when the England version (region 2 not one) So that us in the UK can buy and watch it T_T my Dad won't get me a multi region DVD player.
Not only is the DVD in fullscreen, it's in 2.0 stereo only (I'm fairly sure the audio was mixed for 5.1, but couldn't be aired on TV like that).
Both of those faults to me = no sale (sorry show producers, but I assume this is because it is being released by CN or with their involvement. If there is ever a truly Canadian release on DVD I hope it's in widescreen and in 5.1)

Amazon has the rear box art up, looks like it's full screen instead of wide screen.
