Hey Kids!I just heard that Cartoon Network is airing the TDA reunion special next week!
I can't wait to see it -- this is the TDA directing debut for Keith and Chad, who've taken the reins for seasons 3 and 4. Unfortunately we'll have to wait to see it up here, because there's no word yet on when it'll be airing in Canada. ;) Those south of our border who watch it should let us know what they think -- but NO SPOILERS! ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of it, as well as the brief summary given on TV Guide.com, we can assume that it most likely will not be a challenge followed by a simple qualification test, the way TDDDDI was. The summary basically says that the TD cast is about to be upstaged by another reality TV show cast, and it implies that they actually WANT to do season three to avoid said upstaging. I don't know.
Either way, it will determine once and for all who will be in TDWT and who won't be. I just hope, at long last, that it will finally confirm that Ezekiel is in! That way we can all stop this arguing and just accept the facts.
I just can't wait! Exactly one week from now! Seven days! 168 hours! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's about time! The TDI spot on Fanpop is buzzing about it now. I just saw the preview on YouTube and they said it was on Facebook. I CAN NOT wait!! A few questions, though:

I always imagined it that if the ever added another host it would be a 19-year-old girl named Abby Roland who is just a mean and torturesome to the campers as Chris. Well, can't always have it my way! I'm writing a TDI fanfiction with Abby as co-host called Total Drama Wild Ride!. It's pretty cool so far. The challenges are kind of different, though. In one episode, they are in the land of the Wizard of Oz and have to race to Emerald City and in another, they go to the (near) future (like 2030).
P.S.- a good idea for a season could be TDI High.

ReplyDeleteNot really much point in complaining about the US version. I mean, the US really overdid it with TDI (speaking of, will there an unedited DVD release? I was hoping the DVD would have dual audio, but alas, it did not.) But CartoonNetwork did almost nothing to TDA. Slowly, the channel's content is getting more and more explicit.

The third season of the Total Drama series was originally going to be called Total Drama the Musical but the producers changed it to Total Drama World Tour at the last minute. I mean COME ON!!! GxT got more camera time than any other couple on tdi. GxT obviously seemed like one of the most important couples and the most talked about on show. My bet is that Either Ezekiel, Tyler, Noah, or Cody win. Duncan goes home first, and then, even though I want him to win, Ezekiel. In all reality, courtney stays, AGAIN! Then Zeke leaves early AGAIN! I don't know this for fact, but if Zeke leaves early, I won't watch the show.

Though I was hoping you guys would aim for different couples or couples that have been abandoned a while ago (Lindsay x Tyler, Gwen x Trent, something else) and maybe start new couples like Noah x Heather...or maybe a bit of Duncan x Gwen (even if Gwen did call Duncan hot) instead of more and more Duncan x Courtney. The fans need more than just focus on that couple. Hopefully there won't be that much DxC in TDWT.
ReplyDeleteI kinda liked Sierra's voice, it sounded kind of annoying in the Trailer for TDWT, but I can't judge a character by their voice, and throughout the hour I got used to Sierra's voice and it didn't bother me as much. Hoping to see some Cody x Sierra next season, Cody deserves some love and Sierra is a pretty cool character. Noah was very talkative in the episode, I loved when he kicked the TV spouting "Shmuck", he was an epic assistant lol. I got annoyed by Duncan and Courtney's make-out in the van. If it wasn't for LeShawna's bra (I lol'd when it was on Noah's head) those two could have killed everyone >> I'm happy to see Heather has her hair back, though I am quite concerned how she is the only one who has shown a sign of hair growth, shouldn't the others have their hair grown a bit more or at least cut instead of just Heather's hair growing out? The Drama Brother's are awesome lol,

though I am upset Trent didn't make it to TDWT, some of us are dying to have Gwen and Trent reunited, and Trent can play guitar and sing. I'm actually a bit happy Geoff and Bridgette are separated for once, at least their won't be anymore make-outs now, I got annoyed by that so much. Awesome job. It made my love TD just a little more ;D lol

ReplyDeleteEhem...I was watching Sister Hood of the Traveling Pants (first movie) and I couldn't help but notice one of Tibby Rollins' (Amber Tamblyn) outfits resembled very much to Gwen's. The Blue and Green shirt were exact! Call me overly observent or just plain old obsessed, but I couldn't help question whether or not Gwen's persona was based after that of Ann Brashares' Tibby Rollins
The Reunion Special was hilarious, no doubt about that. But one thing that seriously irritated me was a lack of consistency in character scale. The most blatant example I noticed was when Sierra was standing next to the Celebrity Manhunt hosts. Her head was twice the size as the female host's, almost as if she was someone inside a Disneyland character suit.

ReplyDeleteBut from what I've heard, Courtney and Duncan break up. Well, DUH! The special would be boring with them together the entire time! Conflict makes things INTERESTING, asides from the one-liners and farting. And I really like the love triangle, to be honest. It adds CONFLICT... and, I'm a DxG fan. My honest opinion, however, is that the GxT and DxC fans should be a little more open to other ships and couples as the show develops. Somebody staying 100% devoted to one ship is a little boring... I mean, I used to be a hardcore DxC fan in season one. But in season two, Courtney began to get on my nerves, and Duncan began to act REALLY different... not the awesome, old Duncan. And then the constant focus on the two made me get bored... it was so CONSTANT! I stopped watching TDA completely, and only continued watching for the final episode.
In other news: Noah is awesome.
