The special to air in October is not TDA. It is a continuation of TDI - thus the pictures of the voice actors do not represent the characters coming back for second season.
Also - almost ALL the question that have been asked in the past month have already been answered. You just need to read the blog. We're not ignoring you, we just don't have time to answer the same questions over and over again.
The show is made in Toronto.
...and no word on the DVD. Believe me, you'll know if we are putting out a DVD set.

On Youtube there are these "Video Messages From Home" featuring the families of TDI contestants on CN. Are these actually made by Fresh TV and we will get to see them in Canada?

Yep. They are written and recorded by Cartoon Network and we animated them up here in Toronto.
If/When the DVDs are realsed, will the only be relased in Canada, like 6Teen was?

I just hope we can get the TDI Special down here when the show finishes its run on CN. Looks likely since the ratings for the show have started to really take off. Seriously, a 4.4 rating in a week dominated by Olympic coverage in its demographic? CN has its new big hit.
Also, could it be possible to get the "Video Messages from Home" posted somewhere on here since they're new content? I can barely make out the Youtube copies.

Hey, this is the person who asked about the Video Messages From Home videos being Cartoon Network exclusives. Has one been made for all 22 campers? Or was it just Gwn and Owen?
I think a DVD set WOULD be awesome. I'm one of the watchers who lives in America, and I'd love to get to se uncut TDI on my TV instead of relying on the internet.
Either that, or I'll have to pack up my things and move North.
